Honda has let loose all their worldwide engineering centers, their in-house designers and engineers in competition, Global Design Project, to create the best embodiment of their rich tradition in motorcycles, automotive, racing and now aerospace design engineering. The winner is a motorcycle/car hybrid, the Honda Project 2&4 by a motorcycle engineer Martin Petersson from the motorcycle research and development center in Asaka, Japan. In motorcycle parlance, some riders remove their aerodynamic fairings for that 'streetfighter' look or they also call it 'naked'. Martin took the inspiration of the minimalistic 'exposed' look on a four-wheeled sports car. The interchangeable steering wheel, pedals and outrigger driver seat 'floats' in the air, all mechanical workings are exposed to be seen, appreciated and felt. All under 900 pounds. I love the look of the Honda but bike engines aren't known for economy.

There's a lot going on between 0:45 and 0:48. Even on .25 speed I can only occasionally glimpse the lime green one.

Same idea as the American Underslung.

Unless it's a Honda NC700 or 750 :D

Meh, considering how small and light they are, I consider a 50mpg car much more impressive than a 100mpg motorcycle.

Small, light and featuring low-displacement engines. But they're often not so great regarding aerodynamics. But a Honda NC750 engine in an aerodynamically-enhanced trike might achieve some great mileage...

55 mpg at 55 mph is great in a small car that can haul 5 people at 275 mpg a piece. With the wife along our passenger mpg is 110. That's at 55 mph for as long as I can put gas in the car. I can fill all my cans and carry 28 gallons easily, still with 5 passengers and drive 1400+ miles without a refill or even a stop, if we practiced extreme bladder control.

Makes me feel safe and MOBILE.

A Mirage drive train in the trike would be a rocket ship.

The CD on a bike is poor, but the frontal area is 1/3-1/4 that of the smallest car. Emissions and economy regs on bikes have never been as strict as they are for cars.

Put a Fiat Twinair in that trike :thumbup: I get 50MPG thrashing mine.
