2008 Impala 3.5 LT. Remove Spoiler?

Hey guys. I recently picked up a clean Impala LT with 71,000 miles for $2500. Original owner passed away, it sat for 18 months in a garage. Right away I noticed it rewards driving for fuel economy. A 2.86 gear ratio with good low end torque from the pushrod 3.5. Being rather conservative, about 27-28mpg to a tank. A strong effort during a 100 mile trip with some traffic lights netted 33 mpg. It really seems to have a sweet spot at 67 mph.

So far I've bumped tire pressure to 41 psi (just under what trips the sensors).
Changed the trans-fluid to synthetic.
Modified the intake to pick up more hot air, but it is not a full WAI.

The car has a factory spoiler. It also has an unusual raked stance. The rear of the car is noticeably higher than the front. I took the photos in dark, I think it shows the angles a little better. Speed limiter kicks in at 102 so I won't be needing any extra down force.

Stock photos..

No Spoiler

The spoiler on that likely isn’t hurting you much if any... it is pretty low and does angle up to the rear, reaching upward toward the “template shape”

Most "stock" spoilers are designed to create no downforce and as little drag as possible. In some cases, they might even improve aerodynamics a bit.

You could always do ABA testing to see the effect of your spoiler on your fuel economy.

That would be tricky for me because I do not have a set driving routine.

Spoiler aside, does anyone think I would benefit from leveling rear suspension on the car? That would be a free mod.
