Where did you buy Coroplast?
This seems like a stupid question but I haven't been able to find Coroplast anywhere around here. Where do you buy Coroplast and how much did you play for it? Are there different grades/thicknesses/colors?
thanks for the help Justin |
Sign shops are usually the best place to look, I got mine from frank who got it from a sign shop

At a sign shop I got a 4'x8' for $38 US, so that's $1.19 per square foot. I didn't ask about different sizes. Coroplast is "CardbOaRd PLASTic", so it has two sides with a "corrugated" middle, just like cardboard. I just measured mine and it is a about 5/32" thick. CarloSW2 |
I got the part for my grill block at a sign shop. It was white coroplast with a black vinyl. I didn't pay anything as it was leftovers from a job.

This info should be in a sticky. It seems to get asked a lot.

I was recently at my university's industrial design work room and saw lark pieces of corroplas there, along with the art students sculpture studio had a pile of it in the "free materials" pile, so asking at a place like that could get you some chunks for free, or a lead on the cheapest place to get it.

Sweet, I located a sign shop in my area. I'll check it out later this week. Thanks a lot of the help.
cheers Justin |
You can also get coroplast from plastics supply houses (where you can also pick up that 4X8 sheet of Lexan). We are also fast approaching the political season when there will be lots of coroplast sheets staked into the ground along the sides of the road.
