...uh, winds typically "die-down" at night and "blow" during daylight hours.

It should do really well inside the Washington, DC beltway...
or near any state's capital.

not if your entire life takes place in the Australian outback! but since that is very few people this idea isn't very practical

It's windy here a lot, no matter what time it is... :rolleyes:

Definitely enforces commuting if driven over long distances... can't see one person setting up and rigging the wind turbine on their own...

There are days around here where you could hoist the kite, and do the speed limit while recharging the battery with regenerative braking. If only I could figure out how to handle the #@&! overpasses :-)
