World's Tiniest V12 Engine

Cool!
I wonder what the smallest commercially available, "real" diesel is (not the glowplug r/c stuff)? |
Looking at the cam drive gears, which seem to be the same size on the cams and the crank, I think it is a two stroke pump, not truly an engine.

This is probably close Frank, priced at $190 it might not blow up in a few hours. My brother picked up a 9HP rated Honda that would probably hold up well, but it is very hard to get started with manual start only. regards Mech |

It would have been nicer to see that little thing scream and blow smoke, but still beautiful work. |
two stroke suck-blow, pumps one way runs as an air motor the other way. They used to take V8 engines and change the camshaft so half of the engine had two lobes on the camshaft, thus creating a pump out of half of the engine.
Now you could call it an engine if it was powered by steam since that is a generally accepted term for describing steam "engines". There are many of these miniature motor-engines-pumps built by modelers world wide and the are fantastic miniature machines. regards mech |

Here's my favorite. It's a 1/6 scale Duesenberg SJ Project Not only did this guy build the running engine that went into this project he also built the transmission, rear end, front end components, chassis, body and interior. His new project is a 12cyl. boat. Check it out. Model Engineers—Louis Chenot This guy is a true craftsman... > |
