For you mirror delete folk's (medium sized exterior convex spot mirrors)
My cargo van is a rolling blind spot. I found these spot mirrors some years ago Automotive Safety Accessories Introducing the New Medium Auxiliary Mirror and thought they would work well for those doing a mirror delete, so I'm sharing ;) I can see 2+ lanes over to safely change lanes. I run the medium size on each side and figure there 1/4 of a 9" convex spot mirror. Big enough so you can not only tell what your looking at, night or day, but also judge distance and closing rate, unlike those little 2-3 inchers. Short of a 6" or bigger round convex, these are the best spot's I've driven with.
I run mine inverted. |
Thank you

Good find - thanks for sharing.

Many of the aftermarket motorcycle and bicycle mirrors also feature convex lenses.

somebody mount them so i can see them. I guess the Idea is to screw through them to outside or mount them inside? Currently I have 3ea. 2x3 convex on my visors.
1 drivers side with small 2" spot and other 2 on passenger visor. I would like something like that on drivers piller inside... but how 2 mount it? |

I've seen that before, they use those on electrathon vehicles.

If i used them, i would mount it flush in the A pillar, turned sideways.
That was my first thought, but now i wonder if the shape of the mirror is more or less useless when turned on the side. Can you give some feedback on this ? |
Gealii,
those are pretty slick. 2.3"x4.5" fer us 'merican's The ones I posted just clamp on to the mirror housing, the rear cover pops off to access the screws, the mirror also pop's out pretty easy. Lot's of options for creative attachment inside or out of one's rig. http://www.safedriving.com/ImagesSaf...ions_image.jpg |
