When you use the front end of your car as a plow, make sure to block the openings of the engine compartment can fill with snow.

Pushing snow uphill with no airflow does not put a vehicle at risk of over-cooling. Quite the opposite.

I sold a set of 20" snow tires yesterday. $267 each plus mount and balance.
I was laughing when I did it because it reminded me of the recent automatic transmission thread:

And that isn't even true here- you still have to know how to drive in the snow. Throwing money at shifting will let you get where you're going without any understanding of what you're doing, but throwing money at snow just means you're in even deeper trouble once things catch up with you.

I dont know about where yall live, but in Richmond, VA soon as the white stuff starts to hit the ground we have thousands of accidents an hour. Last winter I stayed home and watched the accidents on live tv.
20 inch snow tires? He had 20 inch rims on a honda, right?  |

Dad built a wedge snow plow from wooden planks and pushed it down the driveway with the '61 Corvair wagon.

I drove east once in my VX in a freezing rain that almost completely coated my radiator before I got any temperature indication. Pulled over and let it thaw and melt then another hundred miles to get home. Scary ride when you are going the same direction the front was travelling, slow down and it gets worse.
