I agree that old bugs, and Corvairs do well in snow. With the bug, 2 bags of cement in rear storage area. The '65 Corvair needed nothing but proper driver skill.
Learned in a '70 Torino how to stop straight and not slide toward a street gutter by using the e brake. Old K cars plow through up to 14 inches of loose snow easily w just all weather radials.
My worst snow car?...for obvious reasons...'71 Datsun 510..great car under any other circumstances.

Old big heavy rear wheel drive American station wagons w all weather radials are fun to drive w careful planning up/down icy hills especially w/o other traffic around...sort of similar to a person hopping from one rock to another while crossing a small river, trials if you will!!! (smile!!!!)
