Oops. Yes! That's exactly right. 0 to MAX_CURRENT would be 0 to 500 (or 511 haha)

The code on the chip would have to do a multiply by 600/500 before displaying it.

So, you want 600 instead of 500?

For a lem 300, that's especially easy, since it's double....

I actually used two fuji 1MBI800U4B-120 parts. One as switch and one as diode. Even driven from just a single rail 12v it worked well.
