15" and 16" flat wheelcovers group order.

Hi,

I have had few enquiries conserning 16" flat hubcaps and we are studying the possibility to make some kind of group shipment/order to US. Eupean modders can also order their 16" pieces . Also 15" versions will be made.

Parts will be manufactured at US soil. Hubcaps will be CNC milled from 1/8" black ABS sheet material.

- First we should find out what is good diameter that works for the most of rim types.
- After that decide do you want there any holes drilled for zipties or no holes. There are 5 spokes wheels and some require 4 zipties etc...
- Also the color. Black and white are easy, but other colors might also be possible.

At the moment Phantom has said that he is willing to ship them to other receivers in the USA soil.

Price will be 60 us dollards plus shipment about 16 dollars inside the US.

Best regards,

Hmm, my wheels are 15" steelies, and no plans to get 16's...
But if you can make 16", then 15" wouldn't be too hard?

As for color, I'd like silver (or "grey aluminum" as the factory calls it). Is that an option, maybe in the future?

Vekke, any idea how much a set of 4 would cost? More or less, is it closer to 20€, or 60€, or what? I know that the cost depends on a lot of things (eg, order size), but I think this information would help get more people interested.

Would these wheelcovers be similar to the 22" truck model?

These would just be 3mm or 1/8" thick round plates. If you want there holes for zipties its possibly but some might use different attaching method.

Other side smooth other maybe with little texture (etched).

Pricing will be about 40€/4 for abs and about 80€ for clear polykarbonate. Like written above .

15" are not a big problem. Tomorrow I will try to go to local wheel shop to take my own estimations which diameter works for best.

What comes to color like that light grey have to ask the pricing. White and black they have at stock and material price goes down with the order size. by order size it is calculated in hundreds of kilos.

My suggestions for capsel diameters:
Wheel size=diameter mm=diameter inch
15"=415mm=16.338"
16"=440mm=17.322"
17"=471mm=18.543
18"=495mm=19.488"
19"=520mm=20.472"
20"=545mm

Measured at local wheel dealer here in Finland. So is that 17.322 inch diameter good that it will cover the whole rim?

Are these generic covers, or fit the brackets referenced in the other thread "Smooth Wheel Cover Discussion Thread"

These are just plain round circle abs plastic plates. Thickness will be 1/8" and the size 17.322" what shoud fit to 16" wheel/rim so that it will cover the whole rim. Color is black. I am asking a quote for 50 pieces, but so far there Phantom is only one who has been interested.

Purhaser can then decide how you will want to install these. With zipties, bolts to wheelnuts or glue etc. Zipties are also possible to include to the purchase. I think it is the easiest and most secure solution at the moment.

Price is listed in the first post. It's listed in euros but you should be able to easily find a converter to your favorite currency.

Bummer I was hoping for 15" FleXcaps. I have a piece of black abs which I got 18 months ago to make flat wheel covers out of, but have been too lazy to actually do it. Since it's sitting in the garage there's no point in having you ship me more.

But if you ever get around to making FleXcaps in my size then give a holler
