FS 2001 Insight manual trans
Who wants my 2001 Honda Insight? 230,000 miles. IMA battery and controllers replaced by Honda at 95,000 mi;es and still going strong. Idles rough but starts fine and runs (injectors? compression?) Lacks power on highway and catalyst efficiency codes (clogged cat?). Trans synchros worn. Left rear e brake hangs up sometimes. Oil leak. Coolant leak but never over heated. Body is still very good. Sell the parts and have a good donor for an EV conversion.

Is it the one that hasn't had a fuel log update since 2011? Has it been sitting since then?
How much are you asking? Sounds like a thousand buck fixer upper from the description.

I drove it regularly every winter but just didn't log the fuel economy since I was only getting 58 mpgUS. I'm at $1500 firm. I can get $700 just for the battery.

Nahhhh, that's too much for what it's needing.
I'm pretty interested in finding out who is paying 700 bucks for a used 135K mile IMA battery from an individual, though! That would be a good back-up plan in case I wreck mine. I'd say you could part out the electronics, headlights, doors, wheels, wheel covers, etc . . . and make more than the 1500 bucks though, if you have time on your hands
Do you have any pics of it, btw?

Yes, if you can get that for the battery sell it for $700 then sell the car for $1000 with a battery bypass.

How much do you want for it? I'm in Ohio, and would pull parts to get one road worthy and just drive it until the end.

I'm going to hold out for $1,500. I still drive it with the worn out synchros but you have to double clutch. The engine is the issue with a miss at idle, lacks power on the highway, oil leak, coolant leak, evap light. Never been wrecked aside from a bop in the rear bumper and a scratch in front of the left rear wheel that hasn't changed in the 9 years I have owned it.

Was going to fix it and keep driving it but didn't find the time so I still want to sell my 2001 Insight.
