the shop was pretty vague. said that it's leaking oil and should be replaced before it completely fails. I'm sure I could ask for more details, but I think I'll go with skyking's guy instead.

and I certainly can't rule out oil pan's allegation. I'm not sure whether I would prefer greed or ignorance in a mechanic I was doing business with...
