$3000 for a 25 year-old Metro -- crazy times coming back?
This popped up in my email alerts...
1993 Geo Metro 3cyl --- 75,500 KM (47k miles)
And it's a manual.
$3,000.00

The car has been always well maintained. Never been in an accident. Drives super solid and it needs absolutely no reparations! New suspension, and brakes. lots of new parts I'm asking 3000$ 438 935 4131 - Montreal

Is $3k steep for a 25 year old Metro? Do the low miles & clean condition warrant it? (No, I'm not shopping!)
Or are we starting to see the return of crazy prices for old Metros due to the return of high gas prices?

Indeed!
Was going to flog it off cheap, but maybe it's worth more to someone under these circumstances.

Higher fuel costs + elegibility for "collection car" status due to its age + fewer of this model on the road = skyrocketing prices. Seems quite predictable. IIRC the same phenomenon happened to the Ford Festiva in 2003 when the military operations in Iraq started.
