Aerodynamic Wipers on Sale

This is just a "heads-up" that Bosch is selling its bracketless Evolution wiper blades on Amazon and giving a full rebate on the least expensive of the two wipers purchased. The final cost of $15+ is hard to beat.

Here's the rebate info: http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image.../160855530.pdf

Here's the wiper info: http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image.../163424510.pdf

Sale ends May 31st.

Thanks, I went to look but the above URL's were "broken PDFs" (I think that means they were temporary URLs relative to your search). The second post worked fine, though.

EDIT: The first URLs are fine. They work in Internet Explorer. The "broken PDF" happens in Firefox, which is what I was using initially.

It depends on the car. From what I've read, the wiperblades are generally shielded in a bubble of stagnated air at the base of the windshield. If your wipers make noticeable noise on the freeway, I'd remove them.

Yeah, but when it's raining, they aren't in that position 95% of the time.

rainX FTW

of course, rainX works better at high speeds.

Wife and I had an expedition. We drove 40 miles in downpour rain w/o windshield wipers and was able to see just fine.

Are these wipers worth more then 1% increase in mpg?

I think the fe gains will be very minor. Well, they would be for me since I rarely get a chance to drive over 40mph.

It depends on a lot of factors. If you're using bracketed wipers in the rain, they would have to have more drag than exterior morrors, I would think.
