Your Kammback - is it just attached with Gorilla Tape, nothing else?

It also has some L-brackets with automotive-grade adhesive holding it down.

Hopefully I'll have some more time now, and I'll be able to get to work on some new mods!

I've been poking around the underside wondering how I'm going to get the belly pan and diffuser on, and I'm starting to think about aluminum sheet for the diffuser so I can ignore the heat from the exhaust, since the muffler is JUST off-center.

I'll also be looking at how to install some tire spats and rear wheel skirts. For the skirts, I'll be installing L-brackets in the wheelwell and attach the coroplast to them for a cleaner result than on my Tempo.

Furthermore, I'm going to be adding some trip strips to the rear end to give a nice edge for airflow to detach. There's some compound curves to deal with, but it shouldn't be hard at all. I'll just have to pay more attention. I also need to figure out how to soften the step on the sides of the kammback.

Now if I just slow down a bit, I could be adding at least 2 MPG without adding a thing...

I was looking at your fuel logs, do you think your mileage has improved with your modifications?

I have seen about 5 Aspires in Santa Cruz. The only aero work is on mine- I removed the splash gaurds from the front wheels. That wore me out... I have had no problems (except the water pump) for years! Cheap plastic hubcaps, a can of wax; best looking Aspire in town!

From looking at my instrumentation, the mods have made improvements, but my right foot has been cancelling them out. I was driving slower before I started the aeromods.

I recently added a cold air intake, cleaned the MAF, and replaced the air filter, and noticed my idle fuel consumption jump up from .16-.17 GPH to around .20-.21, so that mod also set me back a bit.

Hi
I run 50 mph when the engine is cold and 55 on longer trips. Helps mileage. I like your tail wing. With my diesel I am in top gear at 30 mph.

I haven't changed anything else for quite a while. With the colder weather coming on, I blocked off my lower grille opening in the air dam, but that's it other than basic maintenance.

I've been driving faster than I probably should, averaging between 43-44 MPG, but I made myself slow down recently and saw 46 MPG last tank. My Scangauge said 49.2 average for the drive to work today, and that was keeping myself around 55 MPH, so I should really be adjusting the nut behind the wheel most of all!
