Around 30% more efficiency achieved and going :)

Well, i will post my results too in here

I started to use "Pulse and glide" driving style, after i installed the MPGuino.

I saw in real time how every driving style affects the economy, and realised that what driving school suggests for best economy, engine braking, is wrong.

Gliding in neutral saves most gas, and you have to use the brakes, that will also prevent the brake dragging in future.
And while running free with top gear, very little above 60km/h, uses no gas at all. That's useful sometimes.

Previously i have got highway consumption about 6,2l/100km, with normal driving.
With P&G, it's about 4,5l/100km, with accelerating and gliding between 80km/h and 100km/h.
Measured in about 20km trip, few times.

Next i'm going to make an EOC switch. I think it is done by cutting the hall-sensor signal, whick acts as kind of camshaft sensor at the same time. My Golf does'nt have cam sensor

And i should really calibrate the MPGuino better, since all i can do is calculate percents now.
Every time i have tried to calibrate it, either my girlfriend drives my car and starts it so weirdly that the trip meter resets, or the car gets broken. I swear someone will press the reset button or something happens next time and the calibration will go somewhere in the future...

Well i think it was quite easy compared to other cars. This one is with one-point-injection, and the engine bay has lots of room, compared to Civic whick has no hole for fly to.. fly.

For finding the injection signal, i strongly recomment to just open the intake air box, that where the carburretor(or whatever you call it) is, and find where the wire goes from the injector.
On my experience, that where the MPGuino installation guide says "look for 12V", that is the voltage for the intake temperature sensor(NTC resistor), another is the other leg of that sensor, and two remaining, are plus and minus for the injector. You take the signal from the minus of the injector(the one going to the ECU).

THe VSS signal is quite straightforward, it's at the transmission box. Three wires, VCC/signal/GND. Easy to measure.

2,9l/100km achieved! aka 81 MPG

I installed the EOC switch, and made an 250km trip, with accelerating to 100km/h and EOCing to 80km/h.

The EOC technique hint i got works. start the car with only clutch, by rapidly releasing it, and instantly after that, press it back

Are you sure? before you said that mpguino is not calibrated and you only can use it for trends/percentages. Was that back-up'ed with refilling or just mpguino readout?

I looked at your mileage log and saw the graph but no miles or gallons. What gives, is my computer broken?
