No, his entry has been deleted. The bar graph will remain until he enters a new fill.

Unless there is a typo, why delete a reading?

Good driving Quezacotl! There may be something about Finland too... -Some weeks ago I went there (from Sweden) with my family (wife & three kids) in our 1975 Saab 96 V4. There was a 350 km drive in each direction and I set new records both ways. Those old Saab´s may look aerodynamic but their tail is actually a bad design and their high-rev engines are definitely not a concept for low fuel consumption.

Thank´s to a lot up- and downhill driving the roads of Finland gave me great opportunity to "puls & glide". The Saab have a fantastic feature no other cars have - a freewheel in the gearbox that makes P&G easy since I only need to use the clutch when I start from standing still. In my home area the ground is quite flat and the traffic may be quite heavy so I normaly can´t practise P&G that much.

When I first bought the car 1½ years ago I rarely got below 7,5 l/100km and now I rarely get above 7,0. At min Finland roadtrip my lowest consumption was 6,3 with the same average speed I always try to maintain. (about 80km/h)

The Saab´s freewheel sure makes P&G easy but it also makes it a lot more annoying when wanting to shut off the engine while coasting down. (guess this is what "EOC" stands for) -To get the engine started again I have to use the electric starter or to lock the freewheel manually with at tiny knob near the foot pedals...

I guess using the starter after every EOC-cycle will soon eat all money I save on fuel because I have to repair or replace the starter quite often...

My fuel meassurements are based upon filling the tank up so I plan to build my own fuel computer soon. But that´s a completely different discussion that I may start elsewhere at Ecomodder.com. With better and faster results I can learn much more what saves fuel and what doesn´t. -Without needing to wear out my starter...

I really need to install the LED DRLs...
Since i'm using the EOC quite much, half of the distance, the battery wont get charged enough.
I noticed that when i started today, it started good, but everything resets, trip, clock, radio.
Good that my MPGuino did not reset.

Last fillup said that the EOC did work, but now when i filled, it was way different than MPGuino said.
I have done same tactic when i got the 2,9l, but the results decreased.
MPGuino tank average was around 4,5l, but real was 5,66l.

It feels like i've overused the EOC or something.

question about pulse and glide driving. I've never tried this technique, but seeing the mpg improvements I'm tempted to start. If I understand correctly you Floor the accelerator to what 70-80 and then put the tranny into N and let it coast to 55 then repeat?

I know that car's will run richer above say 90% throttle. I have a wbo2 and can see this. I use this info to open the throttle as much as possible without going into rich mode during shifting or going up hills.

Knowing this wouldn't a vac. gauge and say at least a rich lean meter be helpful to figure out the most amount of throttle you can go before the mixture goes rich?
