Very cool
I have recently done similar trip with my car, but I drove only on motorways with cruise control set at 110km/h and managed to get 3,95l/100km with 92km/h average speed.

Anyways, I'm glad to see there are some eco modders/drivers in our neck of the woods.
Lurking around european forums one could start to think it is US-only thing and us euro guys are all about performance, wide wheels or that stance BS

What car are you driving? Why there isn't any car in your EM garage? ;-)

Hopefully that will change soon, not only in Europe or US... But there are so many rednecks that don't get the idea. They cry over high gas prices and excessive fuel consumption of their cars but they just don't adjust the nut behind the wheel.

I'm driving 2008 Octavia 2.0 TDI wagon.
What is EM garage? I didn't notice that anywhere at the forum.

Not only that but if you want to discuss fuel economy related mods on any "regular" forum here in czech rep. you only get laughed at and are almost always given the "if you can't afford the fuel go ride the bus" routine.

The same in Poland. People just don't understand that it can be actually the bigger challenge, and it can be fun as well.

Filled up

I needed to eat something so I've stopped in Serbia and decided that I'll fill Berta's tank. I wasn't sure that MPGuino's calibration was accurate so didn't know how much fuel left in the tank. And I've driven for 1558km (968miles) on that tank. I know I could go for 1k miles tank, but maybe next time...
Anyway the pump showed 53,69 liters after topping up tank. Guino showed 53,75 so calibration is almost perfect.

Anyway FE was 3.45 l/100km (68.18 mpg US)!

Best tank ever!

Mine (on 10/24) wasn't that brilliant, 4.13l/100km | 56.9 mpgUS, but it's still a PR (by a narrow margin)

Should I envy those diesels?
