NickelB, keep an eye on the McDonalds road train. Everytime I see that trailer i'm smiling not because of the food ofcourse.
Or the Deli XL road train!
The trailer you spotted had two decks, so they can carry almost double the capacity.

The nanny EU has reduced its deathgrip on trucks and rigs regulation in order to make 'm more efficient, so we'll be seeing more aerodynamic cab and add-ons in the future.
In the UK, which has less stringent vehicle height regulations than the continental EU, you already see a lot of these:

It would save the USA $trillions if a few hundred-billion $ made it's way to the UK,by importing the Don Bur aero trailer,or setting up licensed manufacturing stateside.
You'd think that by 2015,the USA would have heard of capitalism and profit-making.

The added benefit of some aerodynamic improvements - closing off the sides of lorries, rigs, the trailer gap, or wheel arches - will be reduced bicycle deaths as the trucks turn right, into the cyclists .

recent Volvo aero
Saw this online this AM

The boat tailing is quite conservative in contour.
