Driving a 2000 Saturn L200 5 spd for a bit
Last night I traded cars with a guy from my church for a bit. He took the Sunfire in exchange for his 2000 Saturn L200 5 speed 2.2l sedan. His A/C system needs work and I need to look over a few other things on the car. In the mean time, I get to drive a manual transmission car for a while, yay!
The trip to work today I didn't do anything special at all. I didn't even time the lights all that well. The SGII reported a very pleasant 42 mpg as I rolled into my spot at work... I need to get a manual trans car again. This car is rated 1 mpg less in city and highway driving than the Sunfire, and the Sunfire struggles to get into the mid 30s.

The SG is mine. I pulled it out of the Sunfire before we swapped cars.

Haha, we'll see what else I find that should be done on it. It might have some leaky driveshaft seals. But that doesn't take long to fix. I'll probably have it a week or so.

The trip home (uphill) was a very nice 37 mpg (better than the Sunfire's mid 30s). And, again in to work today I hit 42 mpg. It makes me wonder how much better an S-series would do...
