workin' on the rear drums.

well-cooled and vented, not so much dust. Drums itself are a bit warped though, i noticed. Should buy new ones

(i secured the car, no worries- I am REALLY paranoid)

spotted a bit of a guzzler at the parking lot, a bit of a size difference, ain't it

Dodge pickups are not common here. It's mostly the occassional Journey, Caliber, or Neon.

we finns prefer vans

Since a van provides more protection for the load than an open-bed truck, it makes sense to prefer them. But anyway, I could easily guess your Lada rides on harsh terrain more often than that Ram

Why would them bother developing a newer set of drums while the older ones could still serve just right? Economics of scale at its finest

Anyway, IIRC the Lada drums were often pointed out to be actually better than the original ones from Fiat, since the Lada versions used aluminium which not just reduced unsprung mass a little but also leads to a quicker heat rejection and therefore less thermal fatigue of the brakes.

i've been considering getting a trailer instead of a van, possibly a box trailer to kinda work as a attachable van of sorts sometimes i need sleeping room, sometimes transport capacity.

we'll see what my options are, can i get a reasonable enclosed one or do i have to tack&screw and weld m'self a trailer.
