The first 110 MPG production vehicle

The first 110 MPG production vehicle in the history of the automotive industry will become a reality-- all made in the USA.

Revenge Designs’ Verde Super Car is currently in production stages. Powered by the HP2g engine, shown on CNN, NBC, and dozens of television stations and newspapers across the country, the Verde Super car will feature the perfect combination of performance and mileage.

We expect to release the new Verde Super Car at the LA International Auto Show in December 2009. Revenge intends to display two versions of the Verde; one left-hand and one right-hand drive with the purpose of releasing the vehicles to the World market.

The HP2g engine powering the Verde uses alternative energy, clean emissions technology, powered by E-85 fuel, achieving 110 MPG. Revenge Designs and HP2g are very excited to be making real-time advances in fuel-efficiency and offering the world a practical alternative energy solution without compromising the consumer’s needs.
Also, Revenge will become the sole and exclusive Certified Installation Center in the United States for HP2g engines to aftermarket purchasers. Satellite installation centers will be established throughout the Country.

Both companies agree the true win is seeing fuel-efficient production vehicles driving down the roads while helping reduce the reliance on oil and to put Americans back to work.

The web page says its 110mpg equivalent because its running on e85. My question is, whats the actual mpg. I doubt a 400hp, 500ft/lb of torque V8 can do an actual 110mpg. I don't like this marketing ploy of "equivalent" mpg. There will be a lot of unhappy people when they buy this and find that they pay almost the same for the E85 but don't get anywhere near 110mpg.

110

Does this mean that the car will get 18-mpg tank-miles-per-gallon,and then because of the EPA's CAFE allowance for renewable fuels,110 mpg can be claimed? Or should the consumer expect to see at 110 mpg at the pump?

Another problem is it only runs on E85. That's great if you live in the corn belt but as ethanol can't be transported by pipeline you'll not be driving it far.

This is the second time they've spammed the site with their marketing pitch. Really classless.

I may leave this up so Ernie Rogers and pick a fight over their made claims though

Hi,

Their fuel log, as posted here on EM is hard to digest:

Gas Mileage () - EcoModder.com

The EPA rating sounds pretty plausible (15/22/18.5), but then the fuel log has the uber-high mileage...

It's a secret! Instead of rushing to market they're waiting for a while to compete for a prize because IT'S WORTH WAITING FOR.

I'm embarrassed that we are from the same country. I know every country has 'em, but sorry to the rest of the world anyway.

I love how he ignores everything and posts completely useless links. Yeah... I BELIEVE!!! I BELIEVE!!!

You disingenuous deceitful lying .... . Take their fuel logs, calculate the GASOLINE percentage of E85 (for the sake of argument, 15%), plug that in to their ridiculous figures, and you get perfectly plausible results that agree with EPA. Why not run it on E100 and claim infinity mpg?

Those guys evidently don't care about looking MIGHTY stupid.
