Forum sections by region?

Would it be hard to set up a section with regions where Ecomodders can get together and have mini meets and such? It would be a nice way to get local people together on projects.
Example:
USA-SUB
West Mid East SUB
Northern California - Southern California

I would suggest just posting a general thread in the Events & Meetups section ( Events & Meet-ups - Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum - EcoModder.com ) with the location in the subject line.

EDIT: I just find that when you subdivide and further subdivide the forums, they end up ... full of crickets, if you know what I mean.
