I don't think its for sale, its part of someone's private collection of scale models. I wonder what the Cd of the Schlor car would be?

Schlor CD

"Fluid-Dynamic Drag" by Dr. Sighard F. Hoerner, page 12-4, says the drag coefficient of the Schlor car was 0.13. In other words, about half that of the best of today's designs.

And that car was built in 1937 and looks like a practical design for hauling 7 people or 4 people with cargo. Its kind of amazing how much aerodynamic progress has been made in the past 80 years (not). I wonder what mileage it would get with a modern engine and a properly geared transmission, certainly much better than any of the current minivans.

I'd like to see somebody get hold of an older Tatra and fit it with a modern drivetrain. The old 303s (I think that's the right number) had a drag coefficient of .212 and would seat six. Upgrade the mechanicals to a better standard and I bet it would work a treat.
