Cool Fuel Cut/Engine Shutoff Switch (Success!)

'89 Civic 1.5L M/T

Success!

I tapped a on/off switch into fuse 14 (cuts off the whole main relay as well as several vacuum/emissions valves all over the engine.)

I took it out for a test drive and it works GREAT. No crazy error code from the ECU, just the check engine light stays on until I bump-restart. A very pleasant affair, really.

I want to run one more wire to ground the switch (so the switch LED comes on!), and I also have to verify that I have tapped into the wire AFTER the fuse. If my circuit fails, I want it to be properly fused so it doesn't start a fire. Then it'll be done.

On with the ing!!

I wasn't confident with tapping into the distributer. 30,000 volts scares me. :P
Plus, I'm not sure I want to be pumping unburnt fuel into my VERY leaky exhaust system. I bet more exhaust comes out at the downpipe than at the tailpipe. It sounds like a harley.

Another added bonus that I discovered this morning!!!

Flipping the kill switch doesn't disable my turn signals like switching the ignition off used to!!
