As recently as 2006, General Motors owned 20% of Suzuki.
But GM, looking for loose change under the cushions, sold its remaining 3% stake back to Suzuki yesterday:

GCC commenter noted that would buy GM an additiona 8.6 days at their current burn rate.
Or, this summer, they could have just traded in about 33,000 used Metros at $7k apiece - a price
some were selling for on eBay.
