Built in 6 weeks!
HiPa Knows about Ecomodder, "one of our favorite websites"
No plans of selling their hub motors to DIY'es
Controller is CAN bus for SUPER easy integration to OEM's
Drive By Wire Brakes are super hard to get certified, so they include the front disc in the center essentially only to make it legal.
The A/C, Power steering, Alternator are run by a DC motor under the hood mostly because it was super quick.
They want to integrate brakes in to the hub motors.
600 Wheel Horsepower.
Lithium batteries.
I have the Spec sheet in my bag someplace . . . .
SUPER cool folks work at HiPa!

People know who we are,

I was hoping you'd get a look at it, definitely a sweet idea, too bad it's a truck,

I should have pics of the MINI from last year if that would make you feel better.

And they still aren't selling to individuals? They could make themselves by doing that, large orders won't get them anything meaningful out on the road. (I'm sure they're making big bucks selling to manufacturers of industrial equipment).

And maybe I'm just too damn picky... (That must be it), but I am always disappointed when I see a EV conversion, and half the fossil stuff is left in the vehicle. PS can be run momentarily by a MUCH smaller electric motor, A/C needs to be re-sized in most all vehicles, or better still, exchanged with something more efficient such as solid-state refrigeration, AND WHAT THE HELL WAS WRONG WITH THE MOTORS ACTING AS BRAKES?!

So much inefficiency. Not to mention it's in an over-sized truck.

the motors do act as brakes, but they are required to have friction brakes for legal reasons/ in a panic stop they do function.

What's this legal reasons you speak of? What law makers can't see won't hurt them.

NHTSA and DMV safety regulations regarding brakes systems do not yet include electric motor regenerative braking.

I asked; basically it was a time restraint; getting a fully functional vehicle ready in 6 weeks is quite the challange.
