ATR,
Thanks for the first laugh of my day.

I guess every little bit, if you really work at it, can reduce a lot of weight. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I didn't even think about my own weight. There's an issue too!

Since those posts I have taken another 32 lbs out of it, but added some 195/50/15 tires and rims that added that same 32 lbs back onto it but it looks MUCH nicer than the stock 13s did. The added wt of those rims did not hurt FE since the 51 psi 15s roll further than the 35 psi 13s. During the summer I plan on getting rid of 4 lbs per corner by using 175/55/15s instead. I might even get another set of lighter 15 in rims too....so the rims/tires in the following pics might be put up for sale when it warms up.

You forgot the engine block. I found that if you remove the engine block, you can almost cut the weight in half. Of course, you'll need a spare bicycle gear set or better yet if you can rig up a Honda Rebel moped engine you'll have a very light care on your hands)

This ia serious! I'm not joking. Most Americans are overweight. Let's work on the driver, too!

Simple exercises (floor) like you had in PE before you played the current sport for the rest of the period.

Work gradually up to pullups, and chinups. Pushups in the pro mode (feet elevated on a chair)

Situps, go jog 31/4-3 1/2 miles 3 times a week, little by little until your level ground speed is now a slow run instead of a jog... do a few hills if you can.... avoid running on pavement whenever possible.... after a month or so, finish that 3+ miles in a sprint to a finish line you imagine, once you are sure your heart can take it.

Simply say goodbye to cookies, any dessert c^^p, and after a month or so; you will feel much younger, probably weigh less, you will be more alert for hypermiling concentration, etc....

Lose the shoes when driving; your feel sensitivity will skyrocket!
