What's stopping you from putting air in the tires?

IIRC he said his passengers would protest.

Could sneak it up and maybe they won't notice?

Doesn't make that big a difference anyway. I think your biggest problem is the multiple cold starts and short trips. You just ain't gonna get the numbers a highway cruiser will.

Honestly, how would anyone ever know if you bumped up the air pressure? It's not goint to solve your problem, but air pressure is something that is not detectable by feel, unless your tires were severly under-inflated and now they are over-infalted.

I can definitely tell the difference in ride harshness when my tires have higher psi!

FE difference is harder to pick out...

I was just about to comment on that. The "Feel" of your tires at different pressures is a component of the tire's width and aspect ratio.

You don't feel it so much in lower profile tires as you do in LT or taller P tires, but even in 40's, I still notice when they're high. Not that it bothers me, but I notice.

I'd like to think that people might open their eyes at some point... instead, I find it more and more likely that I'll just close mine.

its kinda hard to sneak up ones tire pressure without their parents knowledge when ones parent MUST be in their car. (permit laws). Honestly after having multiple fail mileage calculations on the highway im now going to try again.
