I just witnessed a car accident!
Heard a screeching and took a look out my window just in time to see two cars ail it in the middle of the intersection, pretty surreal! Some dodge magnum and an older taurus wagon...The cars just moved off and the wagon looks undamaged, somehow...luckily a tow truck was waiting at the light and he helped them out!
Well, that's the end of my interesting story.

(Yeah, I know everybody's seen this already. I just find it oddly hypnotic.)

I could spend hours watching YouTube vids of people (not) driving (well) on snow & ice. Must be the (former) driving instructor in me...

Oy, what a mess. So much impatience, so little time.

You might think it's surreal SEEING an accident, but talk about BEING in accidents. I've been in a few accidents, (I WASN'T DRIVING) and luckily they weren't bad. but I've been in enough to know exactly what a crash inside of a vehicle sounds like. Kind of a not good thing to know, but I know what it sounds like!

Two words: seat belts. They saved my life twice. Once in a car, and once in an aircraft.

I can't go without my seatbelt. It makes me think of what could go wrong for some reason. plus I feel a bit too loose, and sharp turns throw me out of my seat onto whatever is next to me, center console, person, smack to the door. Seatbelt keeps me in the right place during an accident, and normal driving (even more so with ecodriving)

Seat belt ?nut? here too. Been involved in too many accidents, I take the blame, sleeping (while driving) on the way home at 2:am is a BAD thing todo. thank god for the "wake up guardrails".
I have never been in an accident while driving a Semi though, (always vigilant on the job, those are really too dangerous to fool around with ) no chargeable accidents ( in my own car @ ungodly am hours) , I always seem to be alone.
is that good or bad?

Wow. It only appears that the Volvo dude at 3:00 knew how to drive. Was the Volvo dude doing the correct steering maneuver to slow down on ice? I admit to snickering like the camera-man when the BMW getting crunched at 3:40, but then my wife reminded me that the flashing caution arrow was pointing the WRONG WAY, so the BMW owner was misled. I'll bet the BMW owner sued the state for that one (since the evidence is on video!).
