I don't remember hearing it before, but I'm pretty deaf so it may have been running and I didn't realize it.

I'll give it a couple of weeks to think about it then I'll turn the battery back on and try to grid charge it one more time while listening for the IMA fan.

So far the only thing I found that needs attention is the sunroof (imagine that). It's 99.5 percent waterproof, and I will want it more like 100% waterproof!

If you cannot hear it and do not want to bother someone else, there are noise meter apps that should be able to help.

I find it's easy to feel the airflow from the battery fan intake behind the passenger seat.

Just take a strip of paper and hold it near, if it gets sucked against the grille there, then your fan is drawing fine.

If your phone gets sucked in, the fan is definitely working!

Toys!

I broke down and found a cheap (65 bucks w/free shipping) S2000 steering wheel on eBay that I'll be installing this weekend. Since the rest of the interior is leather, it didn't seem right to keep the old rubber OEM steering wheel even though it's still in great shape.

This one does look pretty sweet!

Update: Looks awesome in the car! I realized after installing it that my car needs a serious detailing

New Tag!

I finally got my new tag today after waiting like six weeks for it to come in.

This should explain in one word to everybody behind me why the funny looking car ahead of them is holding them up!

Success!

Still maintaining 70+ mpg 700+ mile tanks even after losing the IMA functions! I have driven Ron Burgundy over 18,000 miles in less than 17 months, and filled up 29 times for a total of 542.91, or a little under 3 cents a mile.

Oh, and my tag is working well! People take one glance at it and they can't get around me fast enough! No more tailgaters for me

Since my Insight isn't technically a Hybrid any more, I have a question. You guys think I should remove it from the Hybrid category, or just leave it where it is? I assume I can do that in the CP.

Right now I'm somewhere in the middle of the top ten Hybrids in the challenge, but I'm wondering if I should move it. I see another Insight over in the top ten of ICE cars, I wonder if that's why he put it there?
