Unhappy Sorry about the server outage overnight/this AM

Sorry about that, folks.

The server went down sometime overnight and the server admin didn't get automatically notified, as he normally is. So he was faced with a smoking mess of server when he got into the office this morning. (Happy Thursday, Mr. Server Admin!)

The problem was hardware related: apparently our offsite back-up drive died and took everything down with it.

But now it's fixed.

Up until now i could pretend it was a SOPA/PIPA-protest, now you went and ruined that for me.

Oh! Right! Yes, it was just a protest!

Forget everything else I said.

I have crappy satelite internet so it always gives me issues. This morning trying to pull up EM got the internet explorer can not display...I unplugged my router to reset it,not fixed, unplugged my modem wait to reboot no fix, before I even thought of opening a different site to check for internet connection. (duh) I had internet the whole time.
So I figured EM is down but also made me wonder why and realize what a great site it is and how easy it is to take it for granted.
So thank you for the site and what ever it takes to keep it up!
(I need to look into a donation!)

Same here.
I'm rather dissappointed that it wasn't.

SOPA/PIPA would shut this forum down in a heartbeat.

Maybe I should hurry up and make my own copy of the forum.
Or maybe Darin could put up a link in the header "Click here to download the latest backup"
