Why the Ford Festiva can't acheive a metro's #'s

Saw this on the festiva site. Good for a few laughs.

That's hilarious.

Is there a back story? Link? Enquiring minds...

I dont have the link off hand, just the guy snapped a pic. The thread said the guy was towing another project home. The thread was titled "festiva pulling a metro" and i clicked it thinking pulling was in reference to two cars racing.

LOL, that reminds me, I recall someone once describing an optimist as "someone who puts a tow hitch on a metro" I don't agree, but thought it was funny all the same.

I know this is an old thread, but this is actually ME doing the towing. A few years ago I flew out to California with the tow bar as checked luggage, bought the 93 festiva (with 90k original miles!) put a tow hitch on it, then bought the metro on my way home, fastened the tow bar to the metro and towed it home. It was when gas was $4.75 a gallon, I sold the festiva for $2500 and the metro for $4000. It was a crazy summer for sure.

I'm "xfiherd" on here. Just sold the last of my metro stuff this summer. Moved on to an echo and loving it.
