Want to Chat with GM about 100 MPG Cars?

by Benjamin Jones on April 2, 2008

Sadly, I can’t make it, but GM will be hosting an online chat on April 4th, at 9 AM EST, about why there are no 100 MPG cars on the market. I’m sure this chat will be much of the same old blabber about market forces, safety, and features, all of which affect the auto industry. However, it would also be an interesting time to ask some pointed questions about why GM is so fickle about things like the EV+ and why we should believe the Volt hype when the company can’t even make a car with decent fuel economy now.

Anyway, if you’re able to check in and check it out, do post up in the comments area about your experience! You can sign up here.

so sad major companies clearlly shows they just want profit at the expence of the deteriorating
worlds condition.sure somepeople need fast and ferious cars, thats their prerogative, but now we need to save on fossil fuel and need more practical
alternatives. why not focus most of the brains and resources to save the earth, what the use going to he moon, mars for what? they claim to have those technologies but cant even put out a bush fire,we still are using a cavemans gadget,WATER<hahaha,
we have no escape capsole, either clean EARTH or we die all here in this Mother Earth, Too bad we had every thing in our hand but we dont Manage them well, all beacuse of Mans Greed, I’m 60 now,

Mr Talavera is right in every way. Mankind will pay a hefty price for his misuse of the world we live in. What in the world do we need an SUV for so we can look big and powerful and rich. Well I dont want to look that way,I want to live and breath fresh air. And i want my children and grandchildren and so on to be able to do the same. Come on world lets work together and clean up our environment and cut back on fossel fuel use
