Yesterday I drove my Dad-in-law to the airport at 3am. Since that's when smurfs are waiting to catch teenagers coming back from night clubs, I tried not to be in a hurry, but drove just over the speed limit (that's hard when Dad is all nervous about me driving so slow). I took a slightly longer route with less lights (the short route has a permanent red light wave at night) and got 4.5 l/100km at the airport. Coming back I was alone, both in the car and on the road, so I took it really slooooow, 50-60 km/h in an 80 zone, yeah!! Back at home the comp said 4.2 l/100km for the round trip, so I must have been below 4 on my way back. The funny thing is that the time it took to get to airport at the speed limit was the same as the time it took get back, snailing along. I wish I could do 50 km/h all the time....
