There's a Suzuki Swift team from QuÃ©bec successfully in Rally racing (from what I've seen at our competition in MO).

In our tournament, the vehicle has to be robust: "Low-Water Bridge" crossings often have at least 4-6" of water to ford at speed, and high velocities include air-time on abrupt hills. I've observed this team the last 2 years and have really been impressed with the how the vehicle holds-up. I also give the team credit for their expertise...

I wouldn't write-off the modified Suzuki-clone as a racing-machine...
