well iam not saying to replace gas because it would take years to switch our system of production of (one barrel of oil 50%gas/25%diesel/25% other) where europe is backwards...but give people a choice between hybrids....a lot of people are still uneducated about diesels and still think we are in the days of "dirty diesels". i mean theres no point of switching everything because lets face it new technologies like fuel cells are going to take over and replace our polluting ways.
...as for fuel stations and diesel if you talking about a small station its understandable because usually only have small underground tanks maybe 2000gals or so compared to gas where is most likely 15000gal tank with small stations diesel of course isnt a big seller unless you have a great location with alotta truck traffic. you go to a TA or a petro truck stop most of those (if iam right) hold 100000gals of diesel and usually get daily deliveries.
on a short note....diesel should stay on the same playing field as gas because its a waste product of gas anyways so theres no way it should higher in price then regular gas. i was loving interstate-70 i wish i had a TDI some areas regular 2.09 diesel 1.98 to this day i still kick myself for not buying the TDI
