So I have this new engine, but I have no idea how or where to find numbers or information on it... I just know it's a Mercedes engine, came from a Reefer unit (drove a compressor), and (possibly) has approximately 40 HP and a top speed of about 3600 RPM. It's non-turbo.
Basically, I'd love to know more about it, including a spec sheet, etc... it may be from 1980's or late 70's, if that helps narrow it down a bit.
Here's what I know so far for sure.
- It's heavy.
- It's a single cam
- Diesel
- 6 bolt flywheel
- Siamesed ports 1-2 and 3-4 intake and exhaust
- 4 cylinder
- Common rail injection (unless I misunderstand that term)
- It's heavy
- No... it's really heavy
- seriously.
- Water cooled
- That's about it.
