WooHoo!
The air dam extensions and the "grille blocks" were done from the same piece of 1/16 X 8" lexan. Curiously, the outline I cut for the grille blocks was nearly perfect for the air dam extensions. Just a little trim work, and viola!
I cut the "grille blocks" out about 1 inch from the end of the two pieces (I got a 4 foot piece, and cut it in two) and then heated that last inch of the extensions to bend around to secure to the fender. The other end was secured to a little tab just in front of the existing air dam.
Now... the holes in the "grille" are just for looks. No air really gets to the radiator from them. Hence the quotes around the word grille... The main source of cooling air is from underneath, and the factory air dam channels up the airflow to the radiator. If the air dam on your W-body GM car (Intrigue/Grand Prix etc.) gets broken off, you'll most likely have cooling problems!!!
