I looked for a power steering pump in my yaris, so i could disconnect it. Didn't find any but did eventually find a power steering motor under the dash. It's like a windscreen wiper motor actually. I didn't bother disconnecting it as i couldn't be bothered! Hey, my last tank was 3.2L/100k. Even if i halved that i'd save only 6 euro per week. Our govt has slapped a 2% levy on our wages and health ins has gone up so it's a drop in the ocean really!
