You made me look. Here are my fuel log totals between 12/1/2007 and 6/18/2009 :

Code:
Total Miles : 32004.20
Total Gallons : 756.21
Total MPG : 42.32
Now, assuming my car's (new) EPA MPG for those gallons, I get only 20K+ miles :

Code:
Total Miles : 20417.67
Total Gallons : 756.21
Total MPG : 27.00
Subtract the total miles (32004 - 20417), and that makes 11587 free miles.

Alternatively, assuming the EPA MPG for the total miles and I calculate a new total gallons :

Code:
Total Miles : 32004.20
Total Gallons : 1185.34
Total MPG : 27.00
Subtract the real gallons (1185 - 756), and that makes 429 gallons saved. Multiply 429 by "cheap" $2.50 gas, and that's a savings of over $1000 in about 18 months, or about $55 a month. Not too shabby.
