I'm a little skeptical about how well this works still... but IF it did, it would be a great way to incorporate solar panels to a vehicle. The panels could be something small. 100 watt max. If it sits in the sun for 12 hours a day, it would be the same amount of wattage as what is being drawn @ 100 amps off of the alternator while driving 30 min back and forth to work... (1.2 kilowatt*hours per day each)..:: I know the angles of the sun would alter the production throughout the day but just say 100 watts average::.. . If you could have a tank that would allow for the build up of the hydrogen throughout the day and store it with some sort of regulator into the intake you could have a load free drive and a pretty efficient engine.
OR
You could have a small battery charge from the panels and then unload the battery when you need the wattage at a higher amperage for on the spot production.
But thats if they actually work!
Just a thought.
