It's the thinnest available at Lowe's. It's pricey, and if you could make part of it with coroplast and only the important (visible) part with plexi, it would be better. (If my wife didn't drag the anchor on that one)
It bends from the bolts, and does so really well. I did crack one spot due to putting the screw in too tight. I used self-tapping sheet metal screws (9 cents apiece) for the whole thing.
If I did this again, I would have purchased the big sheet of plexi firsthand and just made it a bit shorter, basing the length of the frame on the plexi available. It was $60. My plan was to use it with the coroplast, but adding the other sheet (had to cut it in half) added $40. Oh well, now I have material for some "side Kamms" around the taillights!
