that would be fun, I have thought of it.

a maine to western alaska hypermiler rally...quickest time, least fuel. its only 4500 miles or so. my old sube made it once. I think it could do it again. its not just about fuel mileage....

What machines would make it self sustaining, one drivetrain allowed, spare parts on board...at what mileage...any power engineered, internal combustion or not.

to be a chauvinist to some of you..it would be the greatest fuel mileaged vehicle, workable, meant for a heterosexual man. So very rare. what ashame.
no transcontinental contest for us...

maybe a synchro vanagon and a 1980s sube..
