When I read in Reader's Digest - April 2008 about Wayne Gerdes getting 180.91 MPG. in the Hybridfest MPG Challenge race in Madison, Wisconsin I was hooked.
When Wayne won the race he got a subscription to Green Car Journal, and a $25 gas card which wasn't much. But he and Reader's Digest which got the story out created a fire, and that fire is burning to this day! A revolution. It changed my life and will save me thousands of dollars in gas I don't have to buy. I started to learn everything I could about saving fuel. I drove twice as far on the same amount of gas. I am grateful for the knowledge I gained from the fire they started.
