Here's what Jim H. had to say about the two motors I pulled from the forklift:

" The 6 pole is kind of
finicky and has a cruddy shaft with no easy
replacement. The drive motor (570-215/201 maybe a
200) is the shorter commed version of the MNE motors.
They went to a bigger brush after that motor. It has
the mass but the weak link will be in the brushes.
Some get away with 80 lbs motors but they have 8
brushes instead of just 4 small ones. It does have
the same DE plate as the Advance FB1 motor (not same
bolt pattern though) but maybe you could mod the
adaptor plate if you ever upgraded to a full 9. To be
honest it's a motor that's hard to say how it'll do.
It would make a bad ass motorcycle motor, FWIW....

Jim"

Sounds like Jim is saying "try it at your own risk".

If I can find a decent donor vehicle for not too much money, I am perfectly willing to try out this motor, but I think it is going to have be be a SMALL vehicle if I use the drive motor. Think Ford Festiva!
