I third MetroMPG and PaleMelanesian's motion. I consider the Paseo to be the "Toyota CRX" of it's day, so I think it's pedigree of low weight and thrifty little engine can win the day for you. Look at your @#^#$*&^#$ curb weight, for crying out loud :

Powertrain Options and Availability
A 100-horsepower, 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine powered 1992-95 models. Starting in 1995, however, output dropped to 93 horsepower but torque went up. Either a 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic might be installed in a Paseo.
