I'm fairly certain that's a 3/8" drive ratchet.

Figure out how much your transmission takes, and remove the speed sensor from the tranny, just use a funnel and dump it in there - it's ALOT easier. You'll find the speed sensor on the back of the tranny, just to the left of the engine, where the speedo cable goes in, to the right of the rear mount.

Does the noise happen in gear while accelerating? Is it a faint whine? Are there any grinds in any of the gears, upshifting or downshifting?

Does it only happen when you're accelerating, decelerating?
