In the morning, I run some water to brush my teeth. Not the whole time - just some to get the brush wet to start with, rinse it off as the end, and swish around my mouth.

I use the HOT water tap to do this. COLD water comes out. By the time HOT water comes out, I am done brushing my teeth, and I use the hot to shave with.

That kinda follows the law of supply - use whatever you have, and use it for the best purpose. Don't try a hot water use if you aren't going to have any right away.
