I've used the Seafoam in a car with over 180,000. It does put out a lot of white smoke and stuff. I couldn't see that their was any reason to not use it, if anything I'd say the more miles on the engine, the more it would probably benefit from it. The motor I used it in was my 89 Honda Wagon. It's at 256,000 miles now. It does have a problem, now, burning oil in #2 cylinder, but I think that is from my multiple overheating and head gasket issues.

I've also used plain water, down the intake and it doesn't seem to hurt anything either, but you have to add it at a slow trickle, or there might be a problem. It put's out lot's of smoke also. I couldn't see that either one did anything to hurt the engine's and in both cases the engines seemed to run better, after, than before. However, in both cases the engine's were very, very well used before I ever did anything to them.
